11. HOME RAG SERVER (HP Z440 #1)

Note (rev 3.3): the rev-3 "Z440 shelved" banner shelves the Z440 as the carputer brain — it does not forbid using a Z440 as a separate at-home RAG server. The Z440 references in this section, §12.4 (cyberdeck SSH target), §16 (home box), and the §9 "ingestion at home" line all mean this deferred home machine, distinct from the in-truck OptiPlex. It's optional and later — see §15 (build only if/when you want it). The orphaned 2× RTX 3060 + E5-2699 from §3 land here, not in the truck.

Ubuntu 22.04 headless. Qwen3 14B Q8 on the 3060 (2nd from Fraser Valley) or A4000. ChromaDB on NVMe, Open WebUI, ingest pipeline (PDF/Word/Excel/email/photos), nightly rsync from NAS. Personal life archive, queryable; reachable via Tailscale. (With the 2nd 3060, the A4000 can stay in the Dell.)
